One conversation, a whole panel of lenders

A bank can only offer its own loans. We compare options from the lenders on our panel, through our aggregator LMG, and take the one that fits all the way to settlement.

  1. Step 1: Tell us your plans

A 20-minute chat by phone, video or in person. We ask about your goals and your life, not just your payslips.

  2. Step 2: Compare, in plain English

We compare loans from our lender panel and show you the trade-offs side by side, with the reasons for our recommendation.

  3. Step 3: We handle the rest

Application, valuation, approval and settlement: we deal with the lender and keep you posted at every step.

Start with a 20-minute chat

We get back to you the way you ask us to: email, phone or text.

What you can count on

Your interests come first, in writing
The law requires brokers to act in your best interests and show why a loan suits you. Our Credit Guide explains how we're paid.
A panel of lenders, not one bank
Banks and non-bank lenders through LMG. We show you the options that fit and the trade-offs of each.
Plain English, with the numbers shown
Every calculator lists its assumptions, and every recommendation comes with its reasons.
Still here after settlement
A home loan lasts decades. We'd rather check in each year than disappear once the keys are handed over.

Good questions to ask a broker

What does it cost to use a mortgage broker?

Most mortgage brokers in Australia are paid a commission by the lender when your loan settles, rather than charging you. Our Credit Guide sets out exactly how we're paid and any fee that could apply, and if a fee ever applies to you we'll tell you in writing before we start.

Will talking to you affect my credit score?

No. Talking to us, using our calculators and getting a plan together doesn't put an enquiry on your credit file. An enquiry is only recorded when you authorise an application to a lender, and we'll tell you before that happens.

Do you just recommend the lender that pays you most?

No. Australian law requires mortgage brokers to act in your best interests and to put your interests first when there's a conflict. We have to be able to show why the loan we recommend suits you, and we'll explain it in plain English.

Which lenders do you work with?

We compare home loans from a panel of banks and non-bank lenders available through our aggregator, LMG. We'll show you the options that fit, not just one.

How long does it take?

A first chat takes about 20 minutes. Once we have your documents, a pre-approval usually takes a few days to two weeks depending on the lender, and settlement follows your contract date.

Talk to a broker
